About Me

I became hooked on writing in fourth grade after basking in my mom’s positive review of my essay, What I’d Do If I Were Invisible. (Somehow, helping her on the tennis court didn't seem like cheating at the time.)
Fast forward a few years and I earned a degree in Communications, which I put to use in a variety of communication, marketing and freelance writing positions. Today, inspired by my son and the world around me, I’m focused on writing for children.
Besides writing, my passions include travel, outdoor adventures, speaking/studying foreign languages and dark chocolate. I live in Michigan with my husband and son where I write in a purple office with a “create with joy” sign on the wall.
